The Coastal Communities Youth Arts Project, a new initiative of the Houma Regional Arts Council, provides youth in our region with access to  arts programming in libraries, schools and community centers, with a focus on building youth resiliency through the arts.
The project is supported by a grant from the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Coastal Communities Fund.
The mission of the Houma Regional Arts Council is to promote and provide cultural activities, through a partnership of public and private funding, which meets the needs of our individual communities. The arts council serves a six parish region: Terrebonne, Assumption, Lafourche, St. John the Baptist, St. James and St. Charles.
